Design of Wi Fi Interface for Car-like Mobile Robot

Abstract :To solve the difficulty in detecting the state parameters precisely in real time when the car-like mobile robot is in operation, a wireless transmission interface between WiFi module and STM32 micro-controller is designed. In the design, SPI interface communication is adopted between micro-controller STM32 and WiFi module; in accordance with the EM380 communication protocol and timing sequence, the design procedure of SPI interface is discussed in detail. By using VC, the software in host computer is programmed. The information about speed of racecar and the centerline of the racetrack etc. , is displayed on PC. The experiments verify the effectiveness of data transm ission with this wireless interface and indicate that wireless detection will be the developing direction for detecting parameters of the car-like mobile robots.
