Abstract:Mesocarbon microbeads (MCMB) was prepared from coal tars with various primary pyridine insoluble fraction (PI) contents from 0 to 3.7 wt %, through heat treatment at 430C480 for different time under autoginious pressure. The heat treated coal tars were filtered under 150and the residue was rinsed with pyridine. MCMB was obtained as the pyridine insoluble fraction. Both yield and diameter of MCMB increased with the increasing of reaction temperature and holding time. It was found that primary PI also had strong influence on the formation of MCMB, which restricting coalescence between mesophase spheres by sticking on the surface of mesophase spheres or dispersing in the matrix. Low temperature, short reaction time and high PI content resulted in the MCMB with small diameter and narrow size distribution. Carbon block with 1.75 g/cm3 density could be easily obtained from the MCMB after molded under 100 MPa and carbonized at 1000 .

A study of coagulation in wetspining by a weighing method

Abstract: The influence of coagulation variables on diflusion during wet-spinning was investigated by measuring the remaining weight of the samples. The transverse structure of the coagulated sam ples was also studied. It is found that coagulation slows down with increasing dimethyl sulforide(DMSO)concentration while the transverse structure of the coagulated sam ple becomes finer. The coagulation speed is faster and the transverse structure is finer at 50 than at 30 and 80. The additive makes coagulation slower,however,some voids are generated across the coagu lated sam ples.

Abstract: In this paper, the asymptotic behavior of flow reactor models with two nutrients is considered. Different diffusion coefficients of the population and nutrients, the death rates of the population and the velocity existing in the flow reactor are introduced in these models. In complementary case, sufficient conditions for robust persistence and extinction of the population are obtained by the theory of uniform persistence of infinite dimensional dynamical systems. Especially for the model with equal diffusion coefficients and zero death rates, the global attractivity of the unique positive steady-state solution is proved. In substitutable case, sufficient conditions for robust persistence and extinction of population are also obtained by the same method. For the model with equal diffusion coefficients and zero death rates, the uniqueness and global attractivity of the positive steady-state solution is established.

Abstract: In this paper, a single population model with space-limited and stage-structure is considered. Sufficient conditions for uniform persistence of the model are obtained by the theory of infinite dimensional dynamical systems. Then by applying the theory of Hopf bifurcation and the Browder fixed point theorem, sufficient conditions for the limit cycle of the model existing in small range and large range are, respectively, obtained.

Abstract: Urbanization and its process bring people many benefits, like the development of economy, along with such painful outcomes as environmental pollution and harms to health. Healthy City Project is a worldwide movement growing in recent years, which aims to solve problems above mentioned. In Canada, the cradle of healthy cities, through recent decades practice and development in healthy cities and healthy city project, appear a series of changes, such as the changes of healthy cities, characteristics, the development of the definition of healthy city, and so on. In addition, some cities have experienced rise and fall during the process of practice. This paper will analyze the healthy city movement in Canada, by combining abundant document and data with the on-the-spot investigation. It will focus on the examples, like healthy buildings in Toronto and the urban transportation in Montreal ,with the aim to provide a framework as a reference for out countrys healthy city movement and urban planning practice. At last, the paper put forword some feasibility suggestions for our countrys healthy city project ,from technological method to strategic framework.

The enlightenment of the experience of the construction of the public health system in Canada to our country

Abstract:By a long time of exploration and practice, Canada has basically established a relatively whole public health system. Through the system, Canada has basically solved the problem of Canadian medical health and has relatively fully satisfied the demand from the resident. The public health system in Canada has taken on these characteristics, including universality, allsidedness, accessibility and so on. These characteristics of universality, allsidedness and accessibility can make every Canadian equally achieve perfect service of medical health. The all levels of government in Canada have specific responsibilities in the public health system and can cooperate very well. Besides, the public health system in Canada make some nonprofit organizations such as the medical association and so on play an important role in the supervisory system. In addition, the effect of family doctors is very important in the public health system, and Canadian government has devised a scientific process to hospitalize. Although there are some differences existed between our country and Canada, some experience of the construction of the public health system in Canada have universal meaning. On the basis of collecting and studying a great number of materials and field survey, the article has analyzed and dissected the public health system in Canada. In addition, the article has introduced some cases. The destination of the article is to give the construction of the pubic health system in our country some suggestions and direction.

Abstract: Porous carbon microspheres with good morphology, high yield, and controllable particle size were prepared from phenolic resin. The particle size and pore structure of the carbon microspheres were mainly inherited from their precursors, resol microspheres, which were made through curing emulsified resol in water at 120C under saturated pressure. The average particle size and specific surface area of the porous carbon microspheres was related to the concentration of resol and polyvinyl alcohol along with the heating program. The carbonization yield to 700C was 55 wt %.

Abstract: As one of the most important factors that determine the lifespan of a reinforced concrete structure, carbonat ion not only corrodes the reinforcing steel, but also changes the mechanical properties of concrete. For better understanding the performance of carbonated concrete structure, it is necessary to study the mechanical propert of carbonated concrete. The strees-strain relationship of carbonated concrete was analyzed on the basis of experiments. The specimens were made by means of accelerated carbonation and then compressed on the test ing machine. Some very impo rtant characteristics of carbonated concrete were revealed by the testing results. In addition, a useful constitutive model of carbonated concrete, which proved to be suitable for analyzing carbonated concrete members, was established in this research.
